Shani Shingnapur Temple

Travelling from Pernem to Shani Shingnapur was a unique and spiritual experience for me. Pernem, a peaceful town in North Goa, is surrounded by greenery and natural beauty. We started our journey early in the morning with excitement and devotion. The fresh air and calm atmosphere made the beginning of the trip very pleasant.

We travelled by train and then by bus towards Maharashtra. As we moved away from Goa, the scenery gradually changed from green coconut trees and hills to wide open fields and dry landscapes. On the way, we saw small villages, farms, and rivers. The long journey gave me time to relax and enjoy the beautiful views outside the window. We also sang devotional songs, which made the journey more meaningful.

After many hours of travel, we finally reached Shani Shingnapur Temple, a famous pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shani. This village is well known because many houses there traditionally do not have doors, as people believe that Lord Shani protects them from theft and harm. Devotees from different parts of India visit this sacred place to seek blessings.

We stood in the queue patiently to offer prayers. The temple atmosphere was simple yet powerful. The sight of the black stone idol of Lord Shani in the open-air shrine filled me with devotion and respect. I felt a deep sense of peace and positivity while praying.

The temple area was clean and well managed. The local people were helpful and guided us properly. After darshan, we received prasad and spent some time exploring the village.

Overall, the journey from Pernem to Shani Shingnapur was not just a travel experience but also a spiritual journey. It strengthened my faith and gave me unforgettable memories.
